IU Visual Identity : IU Integrated Image
Integrated Image Roundtable Update - August 15, 2007
Individual signatures on envelopes:
The Integrated Image Policy Committee has voted in favor (10-7) of the motion to allow any official signature to appear on the envelopes of IU stationery.
This policy change is effective immediately and will be reflected in the online guidelines as soon as possible.
Should individual units want to impose their own restrictions to this policy (i.e., the College of Arts and Sciences might require that the envelopes for all its department carry the College of Arts and Sciences in the primary position) they are welcome to do so, but it is up to the parent unit's marketing/communications office to communicate this requirement to all its subunits, and provide the necessary oversight. Moreover, these individual unit rules will not be a part of the manual.
Appointment cards:
I spoke with Lisa Townsend and she informed me that appointment cards are now allowed to be printed on the back of the one sided business card option
Signature production update:
A new batch of signatures were uploaded to the official signature download site on Monday, August 13. Please log on to: https://www.indiana.edu/~identity/signatures/IU_Indianapolis/ and download your signature. There is another upload from Bloomington scheduled for Monday, August 20.
IUPUI is currently update approving all signatures on the signature statu page. They are now waiting for approval from the IU Office of creative services and the IU University marketing office.
IKON business card and letterhead ordering site:
The ordering site is slowly but surely be developed. If you receive a business card or envelope that does not look like the adopted visual identity style please forward to my attention immediately.
Look for another update before we meet in September. Thanks.
