The eduStyle Guide to Usable Higher-Ed Homepage Design offers a glimpse into 20 of the best higher education websites in the U.S. and IUPUI is among them.

The book's Introduction explains its criteria: "One of the first things you may notice about this book is that all of the sites we have included are great websites; in fact, these are the best of the best over the last few years."

One of only three universities featured with more than 25,000 students, IUPUI received accolades for its inline video player with closed captioning, high quality photography, and task-based navigation.

"To be recognized as one of the best higher-ed sites in the country is truly a testament to the talents of our web team" says Troy D. Brown, MS'02, Executive Director of the Office of Communications and Marketing. "We are setting the standard in higher education."

The IUPUI site was produced and is maintained by the Electronic Communications Team in the Office of Communications and Marketing, IUPUI Office of External Affairs. Team members include Director Steve Hodges, BA'04; Chris Brown, BS'01, MS'04; Jolene Kernick, MS'04; Vanessa Richards, BA'94, MS'02; and Josh Normington, BS'06.

The eduStyle recognition comes on the heels of several international awards for the IUPUI campus website, including top rankings in the 2007 and 2008 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards and back-to-back gold awards in the Admissions Advertising Awards those same years.

The book can be purchased via the eduStyle website

IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
