Video Specialist

I’m formerly known as "Intern Boy." Why "intern boy," you ask? Well that's because I was the first intern OCM ever had. I was the guy that did the small things that nobody wanted to do, plus it kept me out trouble. I dabbled in Flash and video here and there and it was good experience, but I wanted more. Fast forward a year and a half later and I was hired as the video specialist. I'm now known as the Communications & Marketing Video Specialist, but "Intern Boy" will live on forever.

In between attending IUPUI and working for IUPUI, I worked in Athletics for the women’s basketball team as the videographer. I traveled with the team, filming all home and away games. I enjoyed traveling to the different cities and seeing the different venues we played in, plus eating on the team all expenses paid.

Favorite Job Duties/Responsibilities

Video is my life, what can I say. That’s basically what my life consists of: editing video. Sure I actually get to go out in the light and do a video shoot or two but I spend most of the time editing video. Take "The Spot," our weekly news podcast, for example. I’m the person responsible for editing "The Spot" on a weekly basis. We shoot it on day one with our anchor, day two is editing, and day three is distribution. I also manage updating ETC, our cable broadcast of IUPUI-produced material. But wait, there’s more! I also edit the faculty and student profiles you see on the IUPUI homepage. Plus I do a variety of other videos from time to time.

When I'm not at work I'm...

Computers are my life, or as my mother like to put it, "screens" (computer, television, video game). I’m kind of the resident IT guy in my family, it doesn't always pay but it’s good experience. When I’m not toying with computers at work or home, I enjoy watching movies and playing video games. I have a sizable DVD collection and my PS2 with all the Need for Speed series games plus God of War 1 and 2 (the best games ever!). And when I'm not in front of a screen by myself at home, I'm with friends playing games.

Favorite Television Shows

Well lets just say I NEVER had cable growing up, however I love A-Team (yes I was only like six when the series end but I still love.) I also love Prison Break, Chuck, and 24.

Favorite Drink

BEER!!! Budweiser, Bud Light, Beck's, Corona, Killian's, really any GOOD beer.
